- Adopt a complex CAD document viewing system to enable high quality reading of 2-D and 3-D drawings to support oil and gas engineering and construction work
- Standardize various document viewing and conveying environments with a single collaborative platform that can integrate with the company’s legacy document management application

Solutions
- Implemented Oracle’s AutoVue 3-D Professional Advanced to permit accurate viewing of all projects in 2-D and 3-D formats
- Integrated AutoVue with the existing centralized document management system
- Deployed Web-based tools of AutoVue to permit faster, more open teamwork and document sharing for onshore and offshore oil and gas projects
- Enabled project managers, office heads, and engineering managers to control, edit, and approve project documents and other materials entered by technicians, draftsmen, and engineers into AutoVue, hence simplifying and speeding up all bureaucratic aspects
- Permitted sharing of complex computer-aided design (CAD) information with users who do not have the CAD editing environment installed, allowing for simpler IT management across the oil and gas organization
