Caring for our customers, each other, and our communities is a core value for CDP. Each year, we allocate funding for charitable donations and 25% of the total is directed to organizations selected by our team members. Organizations supported to-date in 2022 include:

- Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
- Breast Cancer
- American Heart Association
- UNC Charlotte
In addition to financial contributions, we are proud to support charitable organizations with our time and other forms of donations. Currently, we are collecting pop top tabs that will be given to volunteers of the Faith American Legion to deliver to the Ronald McDonald House Charities serving the Carolinas.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities helps keep families with sick children together and near the care and resources they need. Housing one family at their local 13-bedroom House costs an average of $100-$140 per night, and families are only asked for a $10 per night donation. One pound of pop tabs is worth between $0.40 - $0.50, and the House earns an average of $6,000 per year recycling these tabs, covering the costs for dozens of nights for families.
Over 13 million tabs were collected for the House last year. If you would like to donate your can tabs from soda, energy drinks, soup cans, or anything else with a metallic tab, please contact a CDP team member. A few minutes of your time can make a difference in the lives of families with sick children.
